The Festival of Russian Culture was held in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from November 14-23, November, 2010. The delegation presenting our country in Vietnam Socialist Republic comprised the “Beriozka” Academic choreographic ensemble, leading musicians, singers, artists art and the students of the VGIK Acting department. They performed a concert program consisting of a tribute to the anniversary of the Victory in World War II and a class-concert of songs, sketches, and musical parodies. The shows took place at the Au Ko Arts center (Hanoi), the Da Nang musical theatre and the Big theatre (Ho Chi Minh City). The program also included the Days of Russian Cinema. The audience were shown various Russian films at the “Thanglong” film center and met with the VGIK delegation led by Professor V. Malyshev, VGIK Rector, V.Fokin, Head of an acting class and Professor F.Popov. of the Producing Department. VGIK students’ participation in such a prestigious event had a wide public response. The high professional level and genre diversity of the concert was marked. A hope was expressed for the future cooperation between the young people of the two countires. |
