Mr. Ghose started his master-class saying that Technicolor help filmmakers go beyond their camera’s abilities. During his presentation Biren Ghose showed the students short videos from famous films which are the result of the work of Technicolor Company team. For example, his 3200 employees worked hard to make «the Jungle Book» film where the only actor was playing Mowgli and in most others scenes he was replaced by his computer created twin.

Biren Ghose established India as the primary hub for Technicolor’s foray in the CG animation business aimed at the movie, television and games segments and as a major centre for its global expertise in VFX (through establishing MPC Bangalore for Film and Commercials). He manages strategic alliances with Dream Works Animation, USA through DDU (DreamWorks Dedicated Unit). Technicolor’s Digital Media group here is involved in Compression and Authoring for DVD, Blu-Ray and 3D, Technology, Subtitling, Graphic Design, Digital Media QC, Metadata, Data Management and Sound Services.

During his career, Biren has built his reputation as a marketer and business strategist across a wide vista of top flight multinationals, having served as the CEO/COO at UTV [now a Disney Company]. Hitherto, he was at UshaShriram; Escorts and served in the UB group for an extended period. Prior to Technicolor he was Executive Director, responsible for establishing the studio model at EROS International Films - the #1 Bollywood player. As CEO of Kahani World Inc, Canada, Biren has also been an evangelist for kids’ content as a Co-Founder and Producer for original content with a uniquely Indian DNA.

He completed an Advanced Management Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan School), USA in Corporate Planning and Management Control.
