27 VGIK International Film Festival

In 2007 VGIK International Festival made a record in it`s history – 49 filmschools from 33 countries have screened their works within the Festival. New rector of VGIK and Chairman of the Festival Vladimir Malyshev have opened the Festival.

Best animation film – “Forgetful King”, dir. Veronika Fyodorova, VGIK, Russia
Best film school programme was given for two film school with the special statement «For equal contribution in education of masters of cinema» -
University College of Film, Radio, Television and Theatre DI, Sweden
The Polish National Film School, Lodz, Poland
International Audience Award - “Gaining Ground”, dir. Marc Brummund, Hamburg Media School, Germany
